Touring a Battleship

On the deck of a famous WWII aircraft carrier, these kiddos were in the perfect spot for a photo. Their mother sent it to me, asking for an illustration and the rest, as they say, is history. I enjoyed the challenge of capturing detail without seeing faces. I love drawing faces, adding detail to expressions and capturing likenesses, but sometimes, that's not what the drawing is about.
