The Spectre

Before a former co-worker requested commissioned me for this illustration, I'd never heard of the DC Comics character, The Spectre. So, I did some research and came up with a few possibilities. I also enlisted the aid of a reference photo service that offers models in various hero poses. This was such a useful tool in drawing musculature, arm and leg position and posture. All-in-all, a great learning experience and this paved the way for future comic book hero illustrations.
